William Chisholm
Prior to founding Symphony, Bill was a founding partner of The Valent Group, a venture fund focused on investing in and building enterprise software companies. The Valent Group is a joint venture between Accel Partners and Bessemer Venture Partners. Prior to Valent, Bill was a manager at Bain & Company, a leading global management-consulting firm where he co-founded Bain Ventures; Bain’s Internet early-stage investment arm. While at Bain Ventures, Bill founded and was President of Servicys, a supply chain software and services company. Bill also worked extensively in Bain’s technology, communications and private equity practices, helping clients develop strategies and make investment decisions. Prior to Bain, he worked as an investment banker at PaineWebber, Inc. Bill graduated from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts degree and from The Wharton School with an MBA with Distinction.
Bill has co-led Symphony’s investments in Information Resources, Intentia (XSSE: INTB), Symphony Services, Agilisys, Trigo (NYSE: IBM) and Metratech.

Jim Maikranz
A 35-year IT industry veteran, Jim Maikranz was most recently the senior vice president, worldwide sales, at J.D. Edwards, responsible for the development and overall execution of worldwide sales strategies, sales support activities and strategic alliances. Prior to joining J.D. Edwards, Maikranz served as the sales senior vice president for SAP, a competitor, where he developed sales strategies, participated in global pricing strategies and established competitive positioning initiatives. Maikranz has also served as senior vice president of marketing for Computer Application Specialists, an oil and gas industry firm, senior vice president with Info Services, held multiple officers positions at TRES Computer Systems, and was a founder and member of the board for Chaptec Company, Splash Pond and Stratascope.
Maikranz has been an advisory board member for i2 Technologies and is currently on the board of directors for Netfish Corporation, Healy-Hudson Corporation, Iona Technologies, Swift Rivers and Lombardi Software.

James Nahirny
As a Managing Director of Bain Capital Ventures, the Boston-based venture capital arm of Bain Capital, LLC, a global private equity firm with over $14 billion of assets under management, Nahirny focuses on seed and first and second institutional round investments in software, technology-driven business services, and information companies. Prior to Bain Capital Ventures, Nahirny was a partner at McKinsey & Company, the global management consulting firm. At McKinsey, he worked closely with the senior management and boards of his clients on a broad range of strategic and operations issues, and was a founder and leader of the firm's Service Operations Practice. He previously worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group in the investment bank First Boston in both New York and Tokyo.
Nahirny received an MBA with High Distinction from Harvard Business School, where he was named a Baker Scholar, and a BA magna cum laude from Yale University.

Jim Witherington
As Managing Partner of SSM Ventures, Jim Witherington is one of the original founders, serving as advisor and confidant to the CEOs of hundreds of Southeastern growth companies. He has been directly involved with the majority of the firm’s investments in the Southeast, helping to manage venture capital funds totaling $157 million in committed capital. The company’s most recent fund raised in 1998, has $114 million in committed capital and is one of the largest in the Southeast. SSM's investment focus includes software, technology, business applications, communications and service businesses.
Witherington received his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He also serves on the boards of Connecture, GoldCoast Restaurants, and Morgan Keegan Select Funds, and he oversees SSM’s investment in Passport Health Communications.

Eric B. Hinkle
As Chief Executive Officer for Servigistics, Eric Hinkle has overall responsibility for the company’s strategy, organization and operations, and serves as a member of the board of directors. With 20 years in technology development and executive leadership positions, he has extensive experience building successful businesses and applying technology to deliver value across a number of different industries.
Prior to joining Servigistics, Hinkle served as chief executive officer, acting chief financial officer and director for MediaOcean, providing Web-enabled research, sales, order management, integration and e-business solutions to television and radio broadcasters and rep firms. He raised $15 million of venture capital, prior to orchestrating the sale of the company to Donovan Data Systems in 2002.
Previously, Hinkle served as president, chief operating officer and director for Radiant Systems, providing integrated POS, back-office, and headquarters management solutions to multi-location retailers. Hinkle grew the business from $15 million in 1995 to $130 million in 1999, and launched a successful IPO in 1997. Prior to Radiant Systems, he served as general manager of a $200 million avionics business for AlliedSignal, as senior engagement manager for McKinsey and Company and as an engineer for IBM Research.
Hinkle holds a BS degree in Computer Engineering from Brown University, an MS degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mike Landry
As founder and chief technology officer for Servigistics, Mike Landry is responsible for Servigistics' technical strategy and global product architecture. He brings 20 years of experience delivering software and consulting solutions for service operations to his leadership role at Servigistics. Since starting Servigistics in 1999, Landry has led the creation, development and implementation of the Servigistics solution for a roster of blue chip customers.
Prior to founding Servigistics, Landry headed the pre-sales organization for field service and inventory businesses for Vantive Corporation, where he helped grow the company’s field service organization into a $50 million business. Before Vantive, He was the third employee and vice president for Advance Technology Corporation, where he helped the organization become a successful enterprise with $15 million in annual revenues and over 100 employees.
With Landry’s contributions, Servigistics has developed the industry’s most advanced after-sale service parts management solution, attracting global fortune 100 customers and raising almost $30 million in capital. Today, Servigistics is the fastest growing company in the after-sale service industry. World-class companies like Dell, Toshiba, EMC, UPS, IKON and Subaru have turned to Servigistics to improve customer service levels, drive revenues and increase profits.
Landry holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Georgia Tech and a master’s degree in economics from Georgia State University.
