This week Servistics announced the availability of the service workforce management suite. It is now fully integrated with parts and pricing management to fill out its “strategic service management” product line. This is the first commercial suite for the market. The company recently replaced a competitor’s product with a big win at a well-known Oracle customer—the company manufactures high tech banking machines. Servigistics will help manage more than $400M in parts inventory.

This month the company started a global project integrating both parts planning and pricing to SAP with a heavy equipment company. While some service parts competitors dispute the need for workforce management and/or service parts pricing, I agree with Servigistics that it gives you multiple avenues to sell and up-sell.  Oh, and the Red Sox beat the Oakland Athletics 11-6.
