TradingMarkets.com: "Embraer selects new service parts management system"
-- Brazilian aircraft maker Embraer (NYSE: ERJ) (Bovespa: EMBR3) has chosen a new service parts management solution which is expected to accelerate deliveries of spare parts and reduce associated costs.
The system will be provided by Accenture (NYSE: ACN) and Servigistics. Accenture is to provide supply chain systems integration services and expertise, process design capabilities, spare-parts capability enhancement services and training. Servigistics will provide its Service Parts Management solution and professional services to automate and improve Embraer's service parts planning techniques.
Embraer is planning to use the new system in several of its locations around the world.
No financial terms were disclosed.
