Oracle and Servigistics Form Alliance to Enable Service Business Transformation
Oracle, the world’s largest enterprise software company, and Servigistics today announced a joint alliance to benefit the service and aftermarket businesses through greater visibility of the supply and service chain. Oracle and Servigistics aim to enable companies to transform their service business, increasing both revenue and profit generated.
The combination of Oracle’s E-Business Suite with Servigistics’ Service Parts Management Suite aims to give customers a truly holistic view over their supply and service chain. The Service Parts Management solution integrates with Oracle’s comprehensive suite of discrete, flow and process manufacturing management applications. These tools will make it possible for companies to process existing data and utilize the decision making system to reduce stock and increase performance as well as reduce costs and increase profitability.
David Callaghan, Vice President, Channels and Solutions, for Oracle UK and Ireland, said, “Oracle’s alliance with Servigistics is an exciting new development and speaks to the growing business benefits customers can receive through technology innovation to differentiate themselves in dynamic and competitive markets. Servigistics works alongside Oracle’s E-business Suite to enable customers to transform complex service management challenges into competitive advantage.”
Gavin Hartland, Servigistics’ Director of Marketing & Alliances EMEA, adds, “The significant element of this new alliance is that customers can now enjoy complete visibility across the extended service network. This is critical to transforming traditional service businesses from reactive response centers to flagships in world-class proactive service management.
“A solution that either improves service or reduces costs is positively impressive – one that achieves both is downright compelling.”
